Project Energy Path
Internet-based Education Platform for the New Generations in the Field of Sustainable Energy
The Energy Path project – Internet-based educational platform for the new generations in the field of sustainable energy has been developed within the framework of the Intelligent Energy Europe Programme with participants from 9 countries - energy and education agencies from Spain, Belgium, Greece, France, Italy, Great Britain, Norway, Slovenia and Bulgaria. “Energy Path” is targeted to the students from the last three years of secondary schools, and through them to a broader circle – parents, friends and relatives.
Results achieved:

partnership agreements signed between EEA and 14 partner schools from Sofia, Pernik, Pleven and Kazanluk

theoretical modules – „Energy”, „Renewable Energy Sources”, „Energy Efficiency” and „Transport and Mobility” – translated into Bulgarian

adaptations to the situation in Bulgaria developed for each of the four theoretical modules

created interactive tasks, forums, on-line tests for examining the knowledge of students

elaborated teachers’ manual for work with the platform

carried out training of the teachers from partner schools

printed brochure and presentations at seminars and expositions, publications in the media

implemented monitoring and prepared internal evaluation report for the project in schools

prepared analysis of the extent of content with platform performance on the basis of inquiry among teachers and students.
The Energy Path project is finalized in November 2008. The internet-based educational platform remains open for development, up-date of materials and exchange of ideas.
